With fresh eyes, the Adam Quartet seeks ways to shine its own light on the string quartet while staying true to the essence of the genre. Since graduating from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam in 2020, the quartet has been part of the Dutch String Quartet Academy (NSKA) where they are mentored by artistic director Marc Danel and have so far received master classes from Eberhard Feltz, Pavel Fischer, Luc-Marie Aguera, Gary Hoffman and Daniel Rowland, among others.
The young ensemble has already performed at the String Quartet Biennale Amsterdam, the Grachtenfestival, the Storioni Festival, Stift Music Festival, International Music Sessions, International Chamber Music Festival Schiermonnikoog, Gaudeamus and in major venues such as the National Opera, Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ, TivoliVredenburg and the MIRY concert hall in Ghent. The Adam Quartet has been a guest on television and radio broadcasts such as Podium Witteman, AVROTROS, NPO Radio 4 Spiegelzaal and the Muziekfabriek. In 2020, they received the String Quartet Stipendium from the Kersjes Fund.
