
In 2023, Hawijch won the 1st prize at the 8th International Violin Competition Henri Marteau and the 4th prize at the ‘Premio Paganini’ International Violin Competition.
In 2021, she was awarded the 1st prize at the Leonid Kogan and she is a prize winner at the Odessa International Violin Competition, Rodolpho Lipizer Competition. She is a laureate of Dutch Classical Talent. The Kersjes Foundation awarded her the ‘Kersjes Vioolbeurs 2019’ at the Royal Concertgebouw Amsterdam. Hawijch Elders studied with Ilya Grubert at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, and previously with Benzion Shamir.
She performed as soloist with The Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, Orquestra Clássica da Madeira, Residentie Orchestra, Hofer Symphoniker. She made her debut in Bozar, Brussels, at the Music Chapel Gala Concert in March 2023, with the Wiener KammerOrchester conducted by Augustin Dumay. She made her debut recital in the Concertgebouw in Autumn 2023. She also produced her first CD with Bayerischer Rundfunk and the Hofer Symphoniker. She has worked in chamber music concerts with a.o. Valeriy Sokolov, Frank Braley.
Hawijch plays a violin by Gennaro Gagliano and a bow by Dominique Peccatte, on loan from the Dutch NMF. The violin is part of the ‘collection Willem G. Vogelaar’ and the bow is part of the ‘collection Tettelaar’.
Since September 2022, she is Artist in residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Waterloo, where she studies with Prof. Augustin Dumay.
