Rino Yoshimoto, violin
Japanese violinist Rino Yoshimoto makes her solo debut in 2019 at Carnegie Hall and the Wiener Konzerthaus. A master of a vast repertoire, she has performed with orchestras in Japan, China, Austria, Bulgaria, Greece, the United States and Italy. In 2021, she makes her solo debut at the Konzerthaus with the Vienna Chamber Orchestra. A year later, she made a successful tour of Spain with the Vienna Chamber Orchestra as soloist. In the same year, 2022, she made her debut in the golden hall of the Vienna Musikverein with the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra. Ms Yoshimoto is currently a student of Professor Michael Frischenschlager at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts and of Professor Augustin Dumay at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel. Renowned for her phenomenal musicality, Rino Yoshimoto is the winner of numerous international violin competitions: the Fritz Kreisler International Violin Competition in 2022, the Isaac Stern International Violin Competition in Shanghai in 2020, the International Johannes Brahms Competition 2017-19 and the 16th Padua International Music Competition ‘Premio Città di Padova’ in 2018.
Takumi Nozawa, viola
Born in Japan in 1994, Takumi Nozawa began his violin studies at the age of four. In 2012, he was admitted to the Tokyo University of the Arts, where he studied violin with Natsumi Tamai. At the age of 21, he obtained his master’s degree in viola with the Acanthe Prize from the Tokyo University of the Arts. He continued his training at the Haute École de Musique de Genève under Miguel da Silva. He has received invaluable advice from renowned artists such as Aki Saulière, David Quiggle, Raphael Bell, Yuko Mori, Heiichiro Oyama and GáborTakács-Nagy. Since 2013, he has been a member of the Nagaokakyo Chamber Music Ensemble. In 2020, he was admitted to the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth as artist in residence in Miguel da Silva’s class.
Tatsuki Sasanuma, cello
After winning or achieving good results in various competitions in Japan and abroad, including the Japan Music Competition, the Tokyo Music Competition and the Japan Student Music Competition, Tatsuki Sasanuma won third place and the special prize at the ARD International Music Competition in the string quartet category and first place at the New York Young Concert Artists Auditions. He has performed as a soloist with many different orchestras, including the New Japan Philharmonic, the Prague National Theatre Orchestra, the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra. As a chamber music performer, he has played alongside various artists in Japan and abroad, including Martha Argerich, Ðặng TháiSơn, Paul Mayer, Jörg Widmann and the Jerusalem Quartet. Sasanuma is also a member of the La Luche String Octet, the Amabile Quartet and the Rizzle Trio. He is one of the principal guest artists of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and has won numerous awards, including the Gakushuin Cultural Prize, the Okura Hotel Music Prize and the Gold Prize at the Hideo Saito Memorial Fund Awards. Sasanuma is a graduate of the Department of German Studies at Gakushuin University and the Toho Gakuen College of Music GraduateSchool. After studying at the École Normale de Musique de Paris as a scholarship student, he switched to the elite programme, where he remains a student. He released his first album, ‘The Language of Love’ (Nippon Columbia). In 2022, he also gave a solo concert featuring all of Bach’s suites for solo cello. In June and July 2023, he appeared as soloist with the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Daniel Raiskin, taking part in regular concerts (Bratislava, Slovakia) and a tour of Japan. In September 2023, he released a live CD recorded in concert at Tokyo’s Suntory Hall (Octavia Records).
