As much as its name comes from the Greek mythology of the Centaur of Knowledge and Art, the group searches the knowledge of quartet playing and the art of presenting it to an audience to the utmost possible.
Founded in late 2020 by four musicians graduated from the best conservatoires in Europe, the ensemble has already performed in countries such as Belgium, France, Netherlands and Portugal. They have also been awarded in competitions such as Danubia Talents “Wiener Klassiker” 2021 in Austria with the first prize, and King’s Peak International Music Competition 2021 in the United States of America with the second prize.
It also integrates the Nederlandse Strijkkwartet Academie (NSKA) where they are regularly and intensively mentored by the Danel String Quartet, and a Postgraduate degree in Chamber Music – String Quartet at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel (KCB) under the tutelage of Eric Robberecht and Tony Nys. As a quartet they have worked in masterclasses with masters such as Eberhard Feltz, Clive Brown, William Coleman, Joseph Kluson, Guy Danel, and the Van Kuijk Quartet.
