CMClassics is pleased to contribute to an important local event: the “Chœur d’Hommes de Lens” celebrates its 100th anniversary! To mark the occasion, it will be bringing together over 100 singers and musicians at the Lens church. In addition to its own singers, the choir will be joined by two other choirs from the central Valais region: the mixed Ensemble Coboli Cantores and the “Grand Chœur de filles” and “Chœur d’hommes de la Schola de Sion“. The instrumental side is covered by Ensemble 7 Sedunum.
With two century-old ensembles and a newcomer to the Valais choral scene, this project testifies to the dynamism of choral art in Valais, the importance of musical training in this canton and the quality of amateur projects.
The concert will be followed by an aperitif offered by the Municipality of Lens.
