An absolute must in the Lieder repertoire. Die Winterreise, composed in 1827 by Schubert, is the epitome of Romanticism. Serving the masterpiece is London tenor Ben Johnson, who has rapidly established himself as one of the most exciting tenors of his generation, with a varied career as a singer, conductor, teacher and artistic director. And on the piano, London-based Genevan Louis Schwizgebel, agile and sensitive, with a highly expressive lyricism.
